Day 03: Munnar - Periyar
After taking the delicious Kerala special foods for breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Periyar. On arrival at Periyar, check into hotel. Visit to Periyar National Park. If you are fortunate you might as well spot a tiger in its natural habitat. Trekking with a local guide familiarizes you to the rare birds, and the local vegetation. Trekking through spice plantations with the accompaniment of the heady fragrance of spices is a lifetime experience. Day 04: Periyar - Alleppey
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Alleppey. Allapuzha (Alleppey) has grown in importance as a backwater tourist centre, attracting several thousands of foreign tourists each year. Allapuzha is also famous for its boat races, houseboat holidays, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Your houseboat crew will take care of your every need, cook you delicious Kerala food and show you the places of interest on route. A singular characteristic of this land is the region called Kuttanad. A land of lush paddy fields, Kuttanad is called the Rice Bowl of Kerala and is one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Day 05: Kumarakom
After breakfast, disembark the houseboat and transfer to hotel. Kumarakom is an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes that will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. Visit to Kumarakom bird sanctuary: 15kms from kottayam, Bharananganam: The Church here is another important pilgrim centre in Kerala. The mortal remains of the Blessed Sr. Alphonsa is laid to rest here and also visit Thrikodithanam Temple, Changanacherry and Ettumanoor - Siva temple. Overnight at Hotel in Kumarakom
Day 06: Kumarakom - Cochin
After a leisurely morning breakfast traditional Kerala idly or dosa served with sambar and chutney, check out and proceed to Cochin.
